It's important to note that Onder's successful bill was among the Republicans' priorities: cutting all state funding from local governments that require non-union construction workers to pay union dues when working on a local construction project (a project labor agreement or PLAs). But his grade took a hit because he didn't sponsor or get as many bills passed as his Senate colleagues, including other labor-related measures. He also is chairman of the General Laws Committee, vice chairman of the Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence Committee and serves on four others.
