One of Bahr's main priorities was the unsuccessful Education Savings Accounts bill, which would have given a certain segment of public school students a state-funding scholarship that could be used for private school tuition. He is a member of a few committees, including the Elementary and Secondary education one, and also chairs the General Administration subcommitee on Appropriations. One of his bills passed the House, but not the Senate.
