The ‘Hayden Rectangle’ was implemented in 2018. Looking at all crimes reported in January through May, crime declined both inside and outside the rectangle, though the drop was sharper outside the rectangle.
Crimes include those reported to have occurred between January and May of each year. Only crimes with geographical coordinates were counted. See our methodology.
