Missouri poised to blow past Illinois in medical cannabis availability

Missouri has roughly half the population of Illinois, but state law allows Missouri to approve more dispensaries and cultivation sites than its neighbor to the east.

Missouri law requires the state to approve 192 dispensaries and 60 cultivation sites. Illinois law allows a maximum of 60 and 21, respectively; the state currently has 55 dispensaries and 20 cultivation sites.
